It displays this activity as an Electrocardiogram (ECG) and outputs the data as an analog signal for further analysis. At the core of the AD8232 module is a precision op-amp, which helps isolate a clean signal from the heart’s PR and QT intervals, often prone to noise in ECG readings. This makes the module highly effective for heart rate monitoring and other bio-potential measurements. The AD8232 ECG Module is specifically designed to extract, amplify, and filter weak bio-signals, even in challenging environments with noise from movement or poor electrode placement. The module includes nine pins that can be connected to wires, pins, or other connectors. Essential pins like SDN, LO, LO-, OUTPUT, 3.3V, and GND allow seamless integration with Arduino or other microcontroller development boards. Additionally, you can connect custom sensors to the RA (Right Arm), LA (Left Arm), and RL (Right Leg) pins to monitor heart activity from different body parts. An LED indicator on the board pulses in sync with the heartbeat, providing a visual signal of heart rhythm.
